Hook the soft cord over one ear and then the other, and let the band settle under your chin, just behind the jawbone. It takes about ten seconds once you have done it twice. Nothing goes in your mouth and nothing goes up your nose.

Keep it somewhere cool rather than on a sunny windowsill, and it is small enough to go in a wash bag if you are travelling. If it ever starts to feel weaker, the contacts are usually just dirty.

It is made for sleeping, so that is where it belongs. Having said that, wear it for five minutes sitting up on the sofa before your first night. Getting used to the feeling while you are awake is the single thing that decides whether the first week goes well.

We would not recommend it. The contacts sit directly against the skin, so sharing means cleaning it properly every single time. If both of you snore, get one each. Plenty of households do.
